Etocrylene is very effective at protecting plastics and coatings from the damaging ultraviolet radiation found in sunlight. It offers excellent UV protection and good heat stability, a combination which makes it useful in many thermoplastic resins. It contributes less color to coatings and plastics than many other UV stabilizers.
